Our food, our future
This world event focusing on the future of food is being held from 6 to 9 May at Fiera Milano RHO to debate topics relating to the impact food production is having on our planet and create a system of enterprises, investors, institutions, young innovators and start-ups which, united by the objectives set by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), will address all the challenges that can no longer wait.
Representatives of all categories and from all over the world will engage in discussions on various topics, from new production techniques and food safety to the right to food, and call for a change that is long overdue.
World leading F&B provider Autogrill has always been inspired, in its projects, by a philosophy of sustainable business that stimulates innovation and the growth of the Group. In its capacity as sponsor, and acting in the person of its Risk Management & Sustainability Director Silvio De Girolamo, it will sit along with other companies on a jury that will choose the best start-ups for the "Building a Sustainable Future" award.
Group Chief Marketing Officer Ezio Balarini, on the other hand, will be taking part in two other key events at the summit: on 8 May he will attend Give me 5!, a format in which startuppers will have just 5 minutes to present their projects to top leaders of the calibre of Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, which has always fought in defence of human rights. On the same day he will also take part in a panel discussion entitled "Achieving the SDGs: sustainable solutions for building communities and economic growth”.
