The Autogrill Group introduced, in early 2023, the new Supplier Code of Conduct. The document, in compliance with the general principles enshrined in the Group Code of Ethics, marks another step forward in creating a business that is more sustainable towards the environment and more respectful towards all workers involved within the value chain.
The Supplier Code of Conduct represents a concrete commitment to ensuring ethical conduct toward its employees, customers and suppliers, which is one of the primary conditions that the current international context requires from large multinational corporations in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
Through a series of standards applicable on a global dimension, the Autogrill Group requires all its suppliers to comply with ethical and business standards and practices enshrined within the Code of Conduct. These cover a wide range of topics such as respecting human rights and protecting the health and safety of employees, ensuring a harassment-free work environment, and eradicating any other form of abuse and discrimination.
In addition to the norms concerning the social sphere that affect our suppliers' employees firsthand, the Code of Conduct calls on them to apply environmental laws and industry standards aimed at reducing the impact of business decisions on the planet.
In particular, the Autogrill Group encourages its suppliers to apply all possible measures and technologies to contain pollution through the use of renewable energy, application of energy efficiency systems and use of reused and recycled materials and products.
To safeguard full transparency on compliance with the standards outlined within the Code of Conduct, suppliers will be required to establish a Whistleblowing process aimed at reporting any irregularities that could jeopardize the sustainable procurement process.
