Barbara Cominelli has 25 years of managerial experience in the Tech, Telco, Energy and Consulting industries in Italy and internationally; her expertise covers: General Management, P&L management, Corporate Governance and ESG, Strategy and M&As, Planning, Marketing, CRM and Customer Experience, Digital and Management of Large Operations (3000 people).
Her professional journey and distinctive competences are characterized by a constant focus on innovation and digital transformation, with unique experience in digital & tech and strong track record in successfully driving large business and digital transformation projects both in traditional and technology industries.
Since December 2020 she’s the CEO of JLL in Italy, with the objective of supporting the transformation of the Real Estate industry through Innovation, Tech and sustainability.
Previously she’s been COO, Marketing and Operations Director in Microsoft Italy for 3 years. She was in charge of developing the business and the market strategies of the company, orchestrating the business across the different solutions (modern workplace, cloud, data and AI, digital transformation & business applications) to accelerate the digital and sustainable transformation of Italian businesses, institutions and citizens, leveraging on new technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence, big data and IOT.
Previously she spent 7 years with Vodafone, where she was a member of the global SLT and the Director of Digital, Commercial Operations and Wholesale, with responsibility for the digital and traditional channels, the Digital Transformation and the Wholesale business unit, with a team of 3000 people in multiple sites.
From 2003 to 2010 she served as Strategy, Marketing and Planning Director for Tenaris Dalmine (TEN.MI) world leader in products and services for the Energy Industry; additionally she was member and then President of the Board of So.Par.Fi Dalmine Holdings. Previously she was Partner of a Venture Capital company managing investments in the high-tech industry in Italy, France and USA.
From 1996 to 2000 she was Manager in the Management Consulting firm A.T. Kearney in the London and Milan offices: one of the youngest Managers in Europe, she managed consulting assignments for major multinational clients in the Manufacturing/Automotive, Consumer Goods and IT/High Tech industries.
She started her career as Researcher and Assistant Professor at Bocconi University, teaching Marketing and Industry analysis.

She has a wide international experience: she studied/worked in Italy, UK, USA, Spain, The Netherlands and she has a successful track record in managing culturally diverse organizations.
She holds a degree 110/110 Summa cum Laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and the Master CEMS-MIM in International Management from Bocconi and ESADE (Barcelona); she also studied at the Rotterdam School of Management, Stanford and SDA Bocconi.
She is an independent Board Member and member of the CNC at ERG S.p.A. and an advisory member of SNAM foundation and ImpactAge.
Passionate about ESG and people/talent development, she is actively involved in several no-profit initiatives to accelerate the digital education of young people, with particular focus on young women.
She lives in Milan with her husband, her son and the two cats.
