Milan, 23 March 2004 - Autogrill said it had signed a financing agreement for 800 million euro with Banca Intesa and MCC (Capitalia banking group).
The five-year loan has been underwritten in full by Banca Intesa and MCC as Arrangers, and also by Banca di Roma and Bipop Carire, members of the Capitalia group. The loan, which is to be syndicated among a small group of banks consists of four tranches and is designed to substitute its current lines of credit and guaranteeing a significant extension of maturity.
“This agreement, coming at a time of great caution, confirms the financial markets’ confidence in the Group’s fundamentals, competitiveness and management quality,” said Autogrill Chief Executive Officer Gianmario Tondato da Ruos.
Effective as from November 1st, 2023, the company Autogrill S.p.A. was merged into the company World Duty Free S.r.l., which at the same time was transformed into a joint-stock company with the name World Duty Free S.p.A..
