Milan , 18 July 2007 - Aena (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegatión Aérea), the government agency that runs Spain’s airports, has extended till 31st December 2009 the retail and duty-free concessions under which Aldeasa S.A., a 50-50 joint-venture between Autogrill S.p.A. (Milan: AGL IM) and Altadis S.A. (Madrid: ALT SM), operates in the following 14 airports: Alicante, Almería, Barcelona, Bilbao, Girona, Ibiza, Jerez de la Frontiera, Málaga, Menoría, Palma de Mallorca, Reus, Santiago de Compostela, Sevilla and Valencia. The concessions had expired on 31st December 2006.
Effective as from November 1st, 2023, the company Autogrill S.p.A. was merged into the company World Duty Free S.r.l., which at the same time was transformed into a joint-stock company with the name World Duty Free S.p.A..
