Iraq: Autogrill donates one hour’s takings to the victims’ families

Milan, 17 November 2003 - The Autogrill Group is to donate to the families of the carabinieri, soldiers and civilians killed in Iraq the entire takings of its Italian network of 423 outlets from 11 a.m. to 12 midday tomorrow, Tuesday November 18, the time at which the victims’ funerals will be held.
A notice informing customers about the initiative will be put up in the 348 Autogrill motorway and freeway service areas and the 102 restaurants and bars in city centers, airports, railway stations, shopping malls, outlets and exhibition centers. The Italian flag will fly at half mast at the Autogrill Duomo Store in Milan’s Piazza Duomo. An Italian flag will also fly at half mast at the headquarters of HMSHost, Autogrill’s US subsidiary, which is taking part in the parent company initiative. A minute’s silence will be observed in HMSHost airport restaurants and motorway travel plazas in the USA.
