Barbara Cominelli co-opted as non-executive Director

Milan, 19 December 2019 – Meeting today the Board of Directors of Autogrill S.p.A. (Milan: AGL IM), in accordance with the procedure required under art. 2386, section 1, Italian Civil Code, appointed Barbara Cominelli as a non-executive Director to replace Marco Patuano who tendered his resignation on 24 June 2019.

The newly-appointed Director has declared that she qualifies as independent pursuant to art. 147-ter, section 4, and art. 148, section 3, of the Legislative Decree. 58/98, and pursuant to principle 3.C.1, of the Issuers’ Corporate Governance Code, as per art. 3.1 of Autogrill’s Corporate Governance Code, and art. 10 of the Company’s by-laws.

Barbara Cominelli is the COO, Marketing and Operations Director of Microsoft Italy, and is in charge of the business across the different solution areas. AA From 2010 to 2018 she was the Director of Digital, Commercial Operations and Wholesale at Vodafone Italy, where she led a team of 3000 people, managing the physical and digital channels. Her previous experience include Tenaris, A.T. Kearney, E.V. Capital and Bocconi University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Business administration and she has a Master in International Business from Bocconi.
She has a wide international experience having studied and worked in UK, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Spain.
She has been included twice in the InspiringFifty “Top 50 most inspirational women in technology in Europe” and awarded several awards for Digital and Customer Experience excellence in Italy and internationally.
