Paolo Zannoni has been Advisory Director at Goldman Sachs International and Chairman of the Italian Investment Banking business until 31/12/2018. Prior to this, he was Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Goldman Sachs Russia/CIS business from 2012. He was Head of Italy Region at Goldman Sachs from 2000 until 2013. Member of the IBS (Investment Banking Services) senior leadership Council from 2007 to 2015. Paolo joined Goldman Sachs in 1994. He was named managing director in 1997 and became partner in 2000.
Before joining Goldman Sachs he was Senior Vice President for Development of International Affairs at the Fiat Group, where he served as president of Fiat in Washington from 1985 to 1989.
From 1990 to 1992 he was head of Fiat in URSS and then CIS. He is currently Chairman of Dolce and Gabbana Holding and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Beretta Holding S.p.A. He served as Chairman of the Italian energy and telecommunications Prysmian Group from 2005 to 2012.
Paolo graduated from Bologna University in Political Science and received a Masters of Philosophy in Political Science from Yale University. At the Yale School of Management, he is an Executive Fellow of International Center for Finance (ICF), an Advisory Board Member of the ICF and the Jackson Institute of international affairs and a Lecturer in the Practice of Management.
