Autogrill appoints Alberto De Vecchi as its new CFO

  • De Vecchi will manage the administration, finance, control and IT systems areas for the entire Group
  • Joins from position as Group Vice President Finance at Bracco
  • Previous posts held in Cambria and Montedison

Milan, 15 June 2006 - Alberto De Vecchi has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Autogrill (Milan: AGL IM), which is the world's leading provider of food & beverage and retail services for people on the move. Autogrill has operations in 29 countries and posted sales of over €3.5 billion in 2005. De Vecchi, who is 51 and from Milan, takes over the administration, finance, control and IT systems areas for the entire Group.

He was Group Vice President Finance at the pharmaceuticals group Bracco, which took over Esaote, where De Vecchi had been CFO since 1995.

In 1990 he was a co-founder of Cambria, a UK private equity fund, after doing five years at Montedison as head of financial planning.

De Vecchi, a Bocconi economics graduate, began his career at Banca Commerciale Italiana in 1982.
