Autogrill announces closing of the acquisition of 100% of World Duty Free Europe

Milan, 21 May 2008 - Autogrill S.p.A. (Milan: AGL IM) announces that the acquisition of 100% of World Duty Free Europe Limited from BAA Limited formally closed today.

Under the terms of the agreement, Autogrill paid BAA £546.6 million in cash, the amount stipulated at the time of the agreement.

Following the transaction, WDF entered a new 12-year concession agreement with BAA.

On 16th May, the European Commission declared that Autogrill’s acquisition of 100% of World Duty Free Europe was compatible with EU anti-trust law.
